Tinea occidentella at the Bodega Marine Reserve

Larva of T. occidentella emerging from silk tube. Coyote scat with many larval tubes of T. occidentella extending outward into the sand. At the end of each tube is a pupal case from which has emerged a moth . Coyote scat with larval tubes of T. occidentella.
